Hello Panos,
I met you last night on the Bleeker subway platform. I actually got on the train but came back because I had to meet the talent and buy your CD. What a blessing it was to hear you and visit with you about music and faith. You are inspirational to me. It warms my heart to read the string of comments below. You have a talent and warmth about you. As a singer I understand what it takes to put yourself out there and you are so commited to the gift you were given. Keep doing what you are doing and something abundant will show up as you open your heart to it! I look forward to hearing more of your music!
Peace and blessings,
Kat

Hi Panos. Just got back into my room, and getting ready to listen to your CD... thinking that I should stay a little longer in that subway station. Your voice was so in time, and all your appearance, personality complimenting it.. Thank you. I'd like to know about your performances in NY.. I'm now in your email list. Maybe sometimes you can even post the station number where you planning to go and sing, although it's probably impromptu.
Sincerely,
Aleksey.

Love the transitions in your music - it seems to connect the idea of an older world to a new world - like a migration movement of sorts; perhaps its the old soul in you coming out.

keep on rockin'

Hey hey! Enjoyed hearing you last night. I agree there is some resemblance to Dylan's sound on Nashville Skyline, you definitely have a unique sound that very much appeals to me. I also enjoyed the CD I grabbed from you, and was pleased to learn of your spiritual side. I'd love to get your acoustic CD unplugged album ... I imagine it's similar to the sound I heard last night between the trains ...

Hello Panos,
A friend of mine sent me an email that spoke of a concert violinist playing in the subway. It sparkled a memory in which I heard a guitarist play in the subway (which happened to be you). This is what I wrote to her:

Hi Joyce,
What a wonderful way for me to wake up with visions of violins playing in the subway. I got to experience a similar situation last year while on adventure in Manhattan on a Saturday night. I was on my way back to the hotel on the subway, when I heard a guitarist who captured my imagination. The sound echoed and reverberated in the chamber with chords filled with harmony of sadness, mystery. I stood within feet of the musician as he played, looking attentively at his hands and fingers as their movement danced to the sound. After a few minutes, his melancholy was brought to an end as his spirit shifted to redemption. I smiled as the mood changed for me too and gazed into the musicians eyes. I was grateful for his gift and said so. I dropped a couple of dollars into his guitar case, and he handed me a piece of paper with a website on it. I nodded and walked away as my ride had just arrived. The guitarist began playing again as the train pulled away. I felt sad at our departure as I had connected to this man without words, and wanted to exchange some. And at the same time, I was grateful for the gift of his music as it spoke my language which transcends time. I'm guessing that I will meet him again someday.

Warmly Connected,
James

My daughter heard you singing in the NY city subway and knew that I would enjoy your music. I'm a member of Christ Tabernacle a chuch in Glendale Queens and I believe the youth of our church would enjoy your music. I plan to forward your site to my music ministry Pastor Steven Carey. Who knows maybe one day you could be singing there. Lord willing. Thanks for using your gift for His glory. God Bless!

Hi Panos!
I heard you singing this sunday Sept 28, 2008 in Bleeker street subway in NYC. I was touched by your voice, and the beautiful love songs. And the subway acoustics made it even better. I bought your cd Scriptures, and I love it!
You also told me you are going to Europe. Definitely visit my country, I would be glad to be of any asstistance.

Keep up the great music,

HEY! I bought your cd from you during my visit to NYC while I was taking the subway around. I'm back home in Chicago now listening to it at it's great... however I must say the subway gives you amazing acoustics no one will ever be able to capture on a recording! Thank you for using your beautiful voice to saturate the summer air with praises to the Lord!

Beautiful and tender - I was really touched by the soulfulness of your music - thanks for turning the 57th street subway platform into a place of musical worship.

July 6, 2008

Hi Panos,
heard you singing in the New York City subway nearby Central Park three months ago - think I missed about three trams on purpose - couldn't stop listening! Finally I bought "Scriptures" - my favourite cd since then. Not only because of the high quality + great music and your exceptional voice. But also because of the lyrics far beyond simplicity and superficialness. Good Message!
You told you would like to tour Europe - if I can contribute, let me know.

Best wishes,
Franco, Cologne, Germany

Hi xD,
I don't know whether you still remember me (cause it's a while since I saw you...I think the 1st april to be correct) but I'm the brown-haired,16 year old, girl from Belgium, my mother and i bought your cd in the subway... and I haven't regretted that ever since>>
awesome musis, great lyrics, love the way you stood there in the subway, just you, the guitar, and the music, it seemed is if that train had never come so fast! You gave my trip to NYC just that little extra, thanks for that

I'd say: just keep doing what your doing

good luck, Julie

Isn't it funny how most people think of a woman when we say "I heard the voice of an angel today"? Well not true. I heard the voice of an angel in a New York City subway. It was you.

My husband and I bought your CD and you stopped singing to say hello and thankyou. We told you we were from Vancouver, Canada and you told us you had family in the Kelowna area. That practically makes you family, which means you have to come visit us if you ever come this way! And I hope you do come to Vancouver when you do your world tour when you become ultra-famous.

Thankyou for enriching our trip to New York.
We love your CD.

You were singing a song with the lyrics: cause you are special" which is not on the CD we bought. What is the title of that song? It was beautiful.

We paid a good chunk of money to see a play when we were in NY, and it was a disappointment. I would have much rathered pay that money to hear you and your guitar serenade us.

Good luck to you.

Hi Panos,

"Smile, it's for free!" ..U told me this last night when I was passing by u in the subway (23rd str.). And as I was mounting the stairs to get out of the subway (still listening to your beautiful voice) I stopped, went back and stayed listening to u behind the corner for a while, then came back to u and asked for ur CD. I didn't know why I went back, I didn't think what I was doing. I just did it. Ur music just guided me. So touching and deep! I love ur CD! Thank u, and God bless u!

Hello panos

I wanted to say thanks for the CD we bought from you in the subway. We were on holiday from England travelling back to our hotel when we heard you singing in the subway. The C trains were not running downtown that day so we had quality time to listen. We were a little disappointed when the train finally came. We liked your music on Sciptures album so much we listened to Harmony on line and ordered it then and there. Can't wait for it to arrive from the States. Keep doing what you do panos. I really hope you get the acoustic album together. Thanks for making our New York holiday that bit more special. Good Luck forever!

Hey Panos,

Just wanted to tell you I've really been enjoying your CD. I had heard you play in the subway at 68th street around a month ago. I was getting off the uptown train and heard you on the downtown side. I was compelled to hear you sing more, so I headed down the steps to the downtown side to hear your music.

I wanted to email you to let you know that I was somewhat mesmerized by your voice. When I stood a few feet away from you and heard you sing, the one thought in my head was, "I can't believe this voice is coming out of a human being." I had never stood that close to anyone singing that incredibly.

It moved me to check out your CD. You recommended Scriptures, so I bought it and have been listening to it numerous times since. I immediately loved your first song "Seize the moment" as well as "Jesse Brown". To my surprise, the entire album continues to grow on me, including the first song and Jesse, which I already really liked.

I'm at work listening to your CD with headphones as I write.

Am about to go to the meditation group I sit with on Wednesdays. So when your CD ends, I'll hit the road. But anyhow, just wanted to let you know how much I've enjoyed your music.

Good luck!

Bob

hello panos,
my daughter and i listened to you last night at the christopher st. station. you have a wonderful sound, even though your guitar suffered an accident, as you showed us. both your voice and guitar are mellow and harmonious, beautiful and completely honest and devoid of pretention. it is a rare treat to hear and experience this in the subways of manhattan.
all the best, we shall try to buy your cds.

Hi Panos,

We met in the Sub at NY last sunday & I've bought your CD. I don't know if you remember me, I'm french, tall, brown & short hairs.
I just wanted to tell you again how nice is this song you sang in the sub, "These Days" & if I can even add something, in live, in accoustic I mean, you gave to it even more power !
I just don't stop to listen to it & I wanted to tell you, don't let it, be strong, you're someone full of talent & I'm sure you'll soon well know.

I will talk about you on the french boards & to my friends to try to help you to be a bit more known in France.

As I told you, I would also love to get the initial tabs of this song, I'm so fond of it, otherwise, I'll try to find out by myself.

Anyway, once again, many thanks for that marvelleous moment in the sub, I should have stayed longer cause it was so nice !

I really wish you all the best & that you will succeed in your musician carrier.

All the best from Claude & the whole France !

Hi Panos,

We are just listening to your CD Scriptures of Today. Got it from you today (in the sub). Like it a lot, especially song number 4. We both believe that you should do more songs with just your voice and regular guitar. You got a great voice! And that's the reason we came back ;-)
Good luck,

Hi Panos,
bought your 2nd cd a couple of weeks ago in NY in the subway. I'm the Argentinian guy living in Italy. I asked you about your albums and wanted to know if the acoustic songs you were playing were included. You told me you were working on your new acoustic album. I really enjoyed listening to Scriptures of Today and would certainly like to hear your new acoustic songs as soon as your new album is ready!
Keep up with the great work, hope to hear from you soon with the new production!

Hello there! I saw you play last night after leaving Little Italy at the subway. You played the most beautifull music I'd ever heard. Your voice is amazing. It was the perfect end to my visit in NY. I gave you $8 dollars and somehow someway I will repay you the rest. Thank you so much!

September 23, 2007

My son and daughter and I heard you playing in the subway this summer. This was their first visit to New York and they had been told by others to expect that everyone in the city would be callous and rude. Our brief encounter with you was one of many warm and pleasant human experiences we had during our four day visit, and likely the most memorable. I want to thank you for taking the time to talk to us, and for being genuinely interested in meeting us.

Your songs are beautifully crafted and your voice is arresting. We have enjoyed listening to your Scriptures of Today CD, and hope that you will release more music soon.

Don't ever underestimate the expanding effect of the ripples you send out into the world. As brief and inconsequential as our encounter may seem, my children will always remember the singer they met in the subway.
